Dr Stephen Joseph is a Cardiologist with sub-specialty training in Electrophysiology. He has a special interest in cardiac rhythm management, arrhythmias, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, mapping and ablations, as well as, general cardiology including valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, heart failure and hypertension.

Stephen completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery before training in Internal Medicine at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. Following this, he completed specialty cardiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and later a Fellowship in Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology at the Monash Medical Centre. His training and dedication led him to be awarded a 2-year Fellowship in Electrophysiology and Pacing at the renowned University of California, San Francisco under the guidance of Professor Melvin Scheinman.

Dr Joseph has greatly contributed to teaching undergraduate and graduate medical students and doctors in training. He also has a strong interest in research and has been published in international journals.
