Dr David Baron is an Interventional and Consultant Cardiologist located at the St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. He completed his Cardiology specialty training at St Vincent’s Hospital and completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

Dr Baron was awarded a National Heart Foundation of Australia Overseas Clinical Fellowship where he studied at the National Heart Hospital in London UK. He then went to Mayo Clinic, USA on an NHBLI Research Fellowship followed by the Stanford University Medical Centre to study Medical Management of Cardiac Transplantation before he returned back to St Vincent’s Hospital and St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

He established rooms in the St Vincent’s Clinic in 1990 where he continues to practice. He has greatly contributed to research with over 170 publications and presentations. He has a special interest in Interventional Cardiology including minimally invasive treatment options such as TAVI, as well as Coronary Interventions, Cardiac Interventions including ASD closures and non-cardiac interventions such as carotid, renal and major vessel stenting.
