Deepak initially completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours from the Monash University in Melbourne before moving to Queensland to study medicine. He completed his advanced cardiology training at Prince Charles, Royal Brisbane and Women’s and Gold Coast University Hospitals. Followed by further specialty training in cardiac electrophysiology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

He went on to further this cardiac electrophysiology training and experience through international fellowships at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in British Columbia, Canada, one of the largest centres for ablations.
