Valvular Heart Disease: Addressing the Under Recognition of Heart Disease

On Wednesday the 24th of July, Macquarie University Hospital is hosting a General Practitioner’s education event on Valvular Heart Disease: Addressing the Under Recognition of Heart Disease.

At the event you’ll hear from experts A/Prof Martin Ng, A/Prof Michael Vallely, Dr Nargis Shaheen, and Dr Rominder Grover.

Interventional Cardiologist, A/Prof Martin Ng will be discussing how we address the under-recognition of heart disease, and Cardiologist Dr Rominder Grover will focus on the growing burden of aortic stenosis in our ageing community.

Cardiothoracic Surgeon, A/Prof Michael Vallely will be outlining the role of a Cardiothoracic Surgeon in relation to the treatment and management of heart disease. Similarly, Dr Nargis Shaheen will provide an overview of the role of a Geriatrician.
