Dr Anthony Chuang is a General and Interventional Cardiologist who has a special interest in preventative cardiology, valvular and structural heart disease, coronary artery disease, TAVI, and cardiac CT.

Anthony completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of New South Wales, followed by a Master of Medicine at Sydney University. Dr Chuang completed his specialty cardiac training at the Flinders Medical Center before he moved overseas and completed a 2-year cardiac intervention and structural heart fellowship at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada.

Passionate about education and research, Dr Chuang has been a clinical lecturer at Flinders University for over seven years. He worked alongside RACP-SA to create the first ‘Evidence-based medicine’ course in South Australia, which has maintained an annual event. He is actively involved in medical research and has contributed to a number of peer-reviewed publications.

He has been awarded several times, receiving the Finalist for the Young Investigator Competition (ACC), Best Research Student Publication (Flinders University), and the RACP Vincent Fairfax and Research Entry Scholarships in 2019 and 2020.

Dr Chuang currently consults at the Flinders Private, Ashford and Calvary Adelaide Hospitals and is in private practice at SA Heart regularly visiting clinics in Mount Barker, Morphett Vale, Victor Harbor, Norwood and Ashford.
