About the Hospital

Melbourne Private Hospital (MPH) is a 122 bed, major tertiary referral hospital, located on the edge of Melbourne’s CBD and shares the international reputation of the Parkville precinct. With a dedicated focus on the provision of quality healthcare, we provide a range of medical and surgical services to our local Melbourne community as well as our regional, rural and international patients.

MPH contributes to the provision of clinical specialties which complement those of our co-located partner, Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) and include cardiac services, advanced general surgery, neurosciences and neurosurgery, specialist medical services, day procedure and day oncology. These services are supported by a 10 bed intensive care unit, six bed neurosurgery intensive nursing unit, four operating theatres, two angiography suites, an endoscopy suite and a day chemotherapy unit.
