Sarah graduated in 1976 from the University of Natal, South Africa. Following an internship in 1977, Sarah migrated to Australia with her husband, Dr Siki Sabdia, in 1978.
Together they worked in a small country town, Port Broughton, in South Australia from 1978-1985. During that time they looked after a large farming community where Sarah enjoyed doing Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Paediatrics.
