Dr Melody Jackson is a General Practitioner and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

She completed her medical degree at University of Notre Dame, Sydney, and a Master of Public Health at University of Sydney, before working at Westmead Public Hospital as a junior doctor. Here, she developed a keen interest in women’s health, mental health, and antenatal and postnatal care of both mothers and babies. She completed the Diploma of Child Health and the Diploma of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (counselling) during these years and enjoys looking after a wide range of general practice presentations.

She has gained accreditation in Neuroprotective Developmental Care of the Infant under Dr Pamela Douglas from the Possums Clinic in Queensland in 2019. This program is an evidence-based program and clinic designed and run by Dr. Pamela Douglas (GP, IBCLC, researcher and author).

She is happy to address any concerns that you have about any aspect of life with a new little family member and is passionate about supporting all members of the family through these early years and beyond.

Antenatal visits are routinely bulk-billed. Postnatal visits (1 – 1.5 hours) and iron infusions incur a gap fee of $50 – $70. Please ring for further information
