Dr Max Wong graduated from the University of Sydney with Honours in 1985.
He worked overseas in Malaysia for 3 years before returning to Australia to work in rural South Australia. He was a Senior Medical Officer at Mareeba Hospital in Far North Queensland from 1994 – 1998, and then Medical Superintendent of Dalby Hospital in western Queensland from 1998-2000.
