Dr Mahila Abbass graduated from Medicine from Deakin University in Geelong in 2011. Prior to this she completed a degree in Behavioural Neuroscience and Honours research year at Monash University. She grew up in Melbourne and moved back in 2012 where she worked at the Austin Hospital for her junior doctor years.

Dr Mahila Abbass graduated from Medicine from Deakin University in Geelong in 2011. Prior to this she completed a degree in Behavioural Neuroscience and Honours research year at Monash University. She grew up in Melbourne and moved back in 2012 where she worked at the Austin Hospital for her junior doctor years.

She has also undertaken training at the Mercy Hospital for Women and completed postgraduate training in Women’s Health with the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG). She has a special interest in Women’s Health and continues her learning and development in this area. Dr Mahila Abbass is also accredited to provide antenatal Shared Care.

In the last few years Mahila worked at a number of General Practice clinics in both metropolitan and outer metropolitan Melbourne gaining experience in all fields of general practice. She has now settled as a permanent addition to our team at Eastbound Medical Clinic.

Mahila is quite active in her personal life. She is a keen netball player and still plays competitively on the weekend as well as being involved in other fitness groups during the week. She also has a passion for overseas travel and experiencing culture and food from around the world.
