Dr Kearney completed a PhD investigating valvular heart disease and techniques for detecting myocardial dysfunction, research that led him to be awarded International Young Investigator Award at the Asia Pacific Society of Cardiology. He continues to contribute to research through publications and presentations internationally and domestically.
