Kit graduated from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom, obtaining his Membership to the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). He later moved to Australia to complete cardiovascular genetics research at the University of Queensland and The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane. He was awarded a post-graduate scholarship from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Dr Wong moved to the Sunshine Coast and commenced working at the Nambour General Hospital and Sunshine Coast Private Hospital. He was one of the first Cardiologists on the Sunshine Coast and an integral part of establishing cardiac care in this community. He assisted with the introduction of multiple coronary services to this area including coronary angiography, coronary care and intensive care facilities, and coronary percutaneous intervention in 2007 at the Sunshine Coast Private Hospital.
