Dr Jeff Ball is a Consultant Cardiologist with a subspecialty in echocardiography, structural heart disease and heart failure. He has experience in all aspects of cardiology though his main interests are in the treatment of chest pain syndromes such as angina and cardiac syndrome X, heart rhythm disorders, syncope and breathlessness.

Dr Ball studied medicine in the United Kingdom, graduating with honours from Liverpool University. He sparked an interest in cardiology during his residency training at Liverpool Hospital and subsequently completed a Cardiology Fellowship at North West England. After this training, he moved to Brisbane, Australia and worked as a resident medical officer.

Following this, Dr Ball returned to the UK and completed further research in echocardiography and intracoronary ultrasound at Leeds Hospital. He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Department of Cardiology for St Helens and Knowsley Hospitals in Liverpool and was integral to the development of both inpatient and outpatient services for both invasive and non-invasive cardiology procedures.

In 2003, Dr Ball returned to Brisbane and completed an Advanced Echocardiography Fellowship under the guidance of Professor Thomas Marwick, a leading expert in the field. He then moved to New South Wales and commenced practising in Nowra at Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital. He is the Co-founder of HeartCare NSW and also visits patients at the Nowra Private Hospital. He is passionate about helping his patients lead a heart happy life and encouraging lifestyle modifications to promote heart health and prevent disease.
