Dr Jason Kaplan is an adult cardiologist and physician with sub-specialty training in cardiac imaging, preventative cardiology and sports cardiology. He is a consultant cardiologist at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, NSW Cardiology, Cardiology at the Mater, and a Visiting Medical Officer at Macquarie University Teaching Hospital.

Jason completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales with Honours, followed by basic physician training at St George and Prince of Wales hospitals. He completed his advanced adult cardiology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Prior to this, Jason completed training in medical oncology and pharmacology.

Dr Kaplan completed additional training in cardiac imaging and echocardiology in Australia and at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA. He regularly performs transoesophageal echocardiography, pharmacological stress (dobutamine) echocardiography and contrast echocardiography. He is also an Accredited Specialist in Cardiac CT and has experience in minimally invasive cardiac procedures including structural heart interventions and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.

Dr Kaplan also has a strong interest in Integrative Cardiology and Sports Cardiology and is a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Macquarie University.
