Dr Irene Stevenson is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne Private Hospital, Epworth Eastern Hospital, and Knox Private Hospital. She is also available in private practice at Eastern Heart Victoria. Dr Stevenson has a special interest in cardiac rhythm management, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy.

Irene completed her medical training at the University of Melbourne and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, followed by further cardiology training at the Alfred Hospital and Box Hill Hospital. Following this, she completed a Fellowship in Electrophysiology at Monash Medical Centre.

At The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Dr Stevenson and Associate Professor Harry Mond run a pacemaker clinic and are in charge of the satellite country device clinics in Shepparton ad Albury. Additionally, Irene contributes her knowledge and expertise to research publications, has co-authored over 20 publications, and is a regular reviewer for the Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology Journal.
