Interventional Cardiologist Dr David Di Fiore resides and works in the Albury-Wodonga region, after recently relocating from Bundaberg. He has long had a special interest in intracoronary spasm provocation and vasoreactivity, angina syndromes, heart failure management, and complex stenting.

Dr Di Fiore completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide and advanced cardiac training at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, where he worked in the acute medical unit and regional communities in South Australia. During this time, David began a PhD that focused on coronary artery spasm, which expanded his experience in intracoronary spasm provocation. He went on to obtain further advanced training completing an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at MonashHeart in Victoria where he gained skills in complex stenting, including rotablator and intravascular ultrasound.

Additionally, David obtained his Level A Certification in coronary artery CT reporting. He combines this modality with other functional testing in order to depict as much information as he can before arranging a more invasive coronary angiography. He has also developed experience in the management of cardiac devices for heart rhythm disorders such as bradycardia and atrial fibrillation.

Dr Di Fiore is currently consulting at the Peninsula Heart Centre in Victoria and Albury Wodonga Health in New South Wales. He is dedicated to understanding the individual needs of his patients as well as those of the larger community. His professionalism and experience, paired with his caring nature allow him to create strong relationships with his patients.
