Dr Colin Machado is a Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist in Melbourne, Victoria. He consults at the Holmesglen Private Hospital where he leads the Atrial Fibrillation clinic and sees patients at the Melbourne Heart Care rooms on the ground floor of the Holmesglen Private Hospital.

Colin grew up in Dubai and completed his medical degree in India before moving to Australia. He completed his specialty cardiology training in Victoria at the Geelong Hospital and Monash Health. Following this, Colin completed further specialty training with Monash Heart in an Electrophysiology Fellowship that focused on cardiac imaging to further his skills in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. He was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

Dr Machado is passionate about providing holistic care to his patients with a focus on patient education, implementing lifestyle changes and working alongside the patients’ General Practitioner to reach optimal results for patients. He primarily treats patients with cardiac arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, and syncope. He regularly performs catheter ablations for arrhythmias and implanting pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders.
