Dr Bruce Garlick commenced with St Andrew’s on the 4th July 2005. Dr Garlick comes from the Holy Spirit Northside Hospital. After completing an MBBS with first class honours in 1987 at the University of Queensland, Dr Garlick went on to complete an internship with the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

Dr Bruce Garlick commenced with St Andrew’s on the 4th July 2005. Dr Garlick comes from the Holy Spirit Northside Hospital. After completing an MBBS with first class honours in 1987 at the University of Queensland, Dr Garlick went on to complete an internship with the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
He became a surgical registrar in 1990 and served terms at The Prince Charles Hospital, Redcliffe Hospital, Royal Children’s Hospital and Royal Brisbane Hospital; undergoing his Cardiothoracic training at The Prince Charles Hospital, Brigham and Woman’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston.
He is a Fellow of the RACS in General Surgery and an Endorsed Fellow of the RACS in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr Garlick has presented papers on Surgery for spontaneous pneumothorax, Systolic anterior motion after mitral valve repair for mitral valve prolapse.
He has also presented on The CryoLife/O’Brien Composite Stentless Porcine Aortic Xenograft Valve both nationally and internationally, also publishing papers on this topic.
