Ben completed a Bachelor of Science and later a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland. Following this, he completed Advanced Cardiology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and The Prince Charles Hospital.
In 2011, Ben completed a two-year Fellowship at the Foothills Hospital in Canada in Cardiac Electrophysiology, gaining experience in atrial fibrillation, ablations and complex device implantations.
