Associate Professor Ross Sharpe is an Interventional Cardiologist and Endovascular Surgeon located in New South Wales. He has a special interest in the treatment of structural and congenital heart disease and has expertise in PFO, LAA and ASD closures having performed over 700 of these procedures.

Dr Sharpe has admitting rights at Gold Coast Private Hospital (previously named Allamanda Private Hospital), Pindara Private Hospital, John Flynn Private Hospital, Newcastle Private Hospital, and Lake Macquarie Private Hospital.

He is also the Founder of Cardio Remedy, Founder and President of the PFO Research Foundation Australia and is the Medical Director of Coastal Heart and Vascular, and Country Hearts and Echo.

Outside of his clinical roles, Dr Sharpe contributes his knowledge and experience to further research into PFO and the potential links this condition has to other diseases. He has been invited to present his research regularly internationally and here in Australia. He also has an active role teaching and supervising Cardiologists performing PFO and ASD closures.
